“Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play” Cast Announcement
The suspense is building, and the Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA) is excited to announce the cast of “Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play”, opening September 4th!
Step back into the Golden Age of radio, where a talented ensemble brings classic Alfred Hitchcock thrillers to life before your eyes. Complete with vintage microphones, live sound effects, and actors portraying multiple characters, this unique theatrical experience recreates the magic of a 1940s radio broadcast while delivering all the mystery, suspense, and dark humor Hitchcock is famous for.
Directed by Rebecca Dougherty, the cast of “Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play” includes Dallas Adams, Caryn Backman, Gary Barclay, Paddy Blondo, Dennis Darling, Karen Downs, Ann Harper, Terry McDonald, Kelli McMellon, and Daniel Phelps.
This unique production features three classic Hitchcock tales:
“The Lodger” – A mysterious stranger arrives at a London boarding house as a serial killer known as “The Avenger” stalks the city. Is their new guest exactly who everyone fears he might be?
“Sabotage” – An ordinary man becomes entangled in an international conspiracy, forcing him into a dangerous race against time filled with espionage, suspense, and unexpected twists.
“The 39 Steps” – A fast-paced adventure in which an innocent man is swept into a thrilling chase across the countryside, pursued by spies, police, and a web of intrigue.
Filled with ingenious storytelling, edge-of-your-seat suspense, and the theatrical fun of watching actors create dozens of characters and sound effects live, “Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play” is a celebration of classic suspense and the timeless magic of live theatre.
