The Return of Solo Speak – Everyone Has A Story
The Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts and Grocery Outlet of Tillamook are pleased to present the second in a series of Solo Speak – “Everyone Has A Story”. The art of storytelling can bring groups together, can bring understanding to people from different backgrounds and beliefs, can share pain, joy and laughter to let us know we are not alone. The power of the story is real.
This one night only show of grown-up personal stories for grown-ups showcases new stories by originator Shay Knorr and features new story tellers Juli Stratton, Julie Bell, and Scott Fisher.
At 10 years old, Shay filled in for a sick friend in a play. There was one line, the audience laughed, and she has been on stage ever since. She has performed with many theatre companies and improv groups, commercials, TV, radio, and videos both in Portland and Los Angelas. For 30 years, Shay was a commercial producer, director, playwright and is now a personal story performer and coach through her story telling group Solo Speak.
This one-night show of Solo Speak will be held on Saturday February 24th at 7pm at the Barn Community Playhouse at 12th and Ivy in Tillamook, across from Les Schwab Tire Center.
