The Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA) is celebrating 40 years of entertainment by giving a nod to an old favorite. Ernest Thompson’s On Golden Pond  was first performed at The Barn Community Playhouse in 2003. Robert Buckingham, director of the revival production, remembers going to see the film with his parents in 1981 at the historic Fox Theater in Rawlins, Wyoming. The movie and the memory have been close to his heart ever since, which is why he chose this play over many other plays performed at TAPA during the 40 year history. He’s thrilled to be directing the more recently revised version, which opens January 28, 2021.

The cast includes:

Normal Thayer Jr.  (70’s-80’s)

Ethel Thayer (70’s-80’s)

Charlie Martin (30’s-50’s)

Chelsea Thayer Wayne (30’s-50’s)

Bill Ray (30’s-50’s)

Billy Ray Jr. (13ish)

Auditions will be held on October 2nd & 3rd, at The Barn Community Playhouse at 10:00 a.m.
