Audition Announcement: God of Carnage

The Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA) is holding auditions for their fall comedy, “God of Carnage”, June 2nd & 3rd starting at 11:00 am both days.

Directed by Rob Buckingham, in this seriously funny comedy, we find two couples meeting for the first time due to an incident on the playground involving each of their 11-year old sons. There’s the matter of a dental bill to discuss, as well as bullying and taking responsibility. What begins as civilized “grown-up” behavior quickly turns to chaos. We see how our public faces and private faces are sometimes very different, and the lengths some will go to in order to protect their image and defend their position in a hilarious, yet thought provoking way.

Originally written in French, the play was a success, and has since been translated into English. It has enjoyed equal acclaim in productions in both London and New York. “God of Carnage” runs September 14-30th, and rehearsals will start in June.

This production is looking for two (2) men, and two (2) women to fill out the cast. Experience is not necessary! TAPA is a non-profit volunteer organization where learning and growth are fostered.

Auditions will be held at TAPA’s Barn Community Playhouse, located at 12th & Ivy (1204 Ivy Ave).   Audition packets can be found on here (God of Carnage Aud Packet) or by email (info@tillamooktheater.com).
