Open Auditions For TAPA’s Winter Production
The Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts (TAPA) is pleased to announce open auditions for their winter production, The Lion In Winter, a play depicting the personal and political conflicts of Henry II of England, his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine, their children, and their guests during Christmas, 1183.
Auditions will be held at Oregon Coast Dance Center on Oct 4th and 5th, from 2:00-4:00 pm each day. Oregon Coast Dance Center is located at 106 Main Ave in Tillamook, next to the Eyes of Oregon optometry center.
TAPA is looking to fill the following roles:
- King Henry II
- Alais, a French Princess
- John, the youngest son
- Geoffrey, the middle son
- Richard Lionheart, the oldest son
- Eleanor, King Henry’s wife
- Philip, King of France
Called a touchstone of today’s theater scene, The Lion In Winter follows a dysfunctional family of the 12th century, as King Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine maneuver against each other to position their
favorite son in line for succession. Written by James Goldman, and directed by Kelli McMellon, performances will run January 23rd – February 8th.
