REHEARSAL FOR MURDER COMING SOON

The Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts is thrilled to announce the cast for the upcoming production of Richard Levinson and William Link’s REHEARSAL FOR MURDER.

In REHEARSAL FOR MURDER, playwright Alex Dennison is on the verge of marrying glamorous film star Monica Welles, but a scant few hours after her Broadway debut, Monica is found dead, an apparent suicide. One year later, convinced that Monica was murdered, Dennison contacts the most likely suspects and assembles them in an empty theatre, ostensibly to read through his latest play. Once assembled, Dennison locks the doors and uses his play as a means to, in the words of Hamlet, “catch the conscience” of the killer.

REHEARSAL FOR MURDER was filmed under the working title Cold Reading and was the winner of the Edgar Award, a prize bestowed annually by the Mystery Writers of America. This production is directed and produced by TAPA veterans R.A. Coon & Deborah Coon. The cast includes Robert Kratz as Alex Dennison, Bill Briot as Ernie & Mr. Santoro, Rachel Coon as Sally Bean, Terri Wallace as Monica Welles, Phil Gregg as Lloyd Andrews, Marilyn Karr as Bella Lamb, Jennifer Hayes as Karen Daniels, Chris Chiola as David Matthews, R.J. Wynia as Leo Gibbs, Robert Buckingham as McElroy, Tracy Withoft as Loretta & a Police Officer, and Willy Wallace as a Police Officer.

REHEARSAL FOR MURDER is TAPA’s first production of 2011. Performances are on Friday & Saturday evenings from January 28 through February 12 at 7:00 p.m. and a Sunday matinee on February 6 at 2:00 p.m.
